We’ve compiled some of the more notable partnerships that have taken place in the United States for the month of September 2019.
- ExxonMobil x Porsche
ExxonMobil expanded its global business through a partnership with Porsche in the electric motorsports industry by acting as a lubricant supplier for Porsche’s new Formula E series car for the 2019 / 2020 season

- MOD Pizza x DoorDash
MOD Pizza is partnering with DoorDash for the creation of a nationwide delivery partnership deal. The partnership provides added convenience to customers and first-time MOD Pizza orders made with DoorDash will include zero-dollar delivery fees until September 8, 2019

- General Motors x Google
General Motors and Google are collaborating on an effort to further integrate technology into vehicles and appease the growing number of people who have become more reliant on the use of technology. Beginning 2021, GM vehicles are expected to come pre-installed with Google products including Google Maps. This effort would offer drivers more convenience and free them from having to use their cellphones while driving to navigate.
- Delta Air Lines x Georgia Tech x Curiosity Lab at Peachtree Corners
A partnership between Delta Airlines, Georgia Tech’s Smart Cities and Inclusive Innovation Initiative and Curiosity Lab at Peachtree Corners seeks to advance innovative solutions in the autonomous vehicle industry. Delta is prepared to provide critical funding for research while researchers will have access to Curiosity Lab’s 1.5-mile autonomous vehicle test track
- Rowan University x N3rd Street Gamer
Rowan University and N3rd Street Gamers an esports organization are collaborating in an agreement to potentially develop one of the country’s largest collegiate esports gaming and academic programs. N3rd Street Gamers are investing over $1 million in the development of a gaming facility in Glassboro, New Jersey to be used in collaboration with the university and offer its students opportunities for hands-on training via internships. The university will also work collaboratively with N3rd Street Gamers to develop curricula relating to the esports industry.
- Mountain Dew and Doritos x Activision
Prior to the release of the much-anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare video game. Activision alongside Mountain Dew and Doritos are partnering to offer players exclusive in-game items. By purchasing participating Mountain Dew Amp Game Fuel, Mountain Dew or Dorito products and entering unique codes found on the packaging players gain access to in-game rewards.
- Overwatch League x DreamSeat
The Overwatch League has selected furniture company Dreamseat to be the official chair supplier. Dreamseat’s Zipchair Gaming chair brand will be used for the rest of 2019 and the upcoming 2020 season.
- Avaya Holdings Corp x and IBM
An agreement was signed between IBM and Avaya to implement a hybrid cloud strategy to help expand Avaya ReadyNow private cloud offerings while enabling its customers to benefit from the scale and performance of IBM’s global footprint of cloud data centers.
- WarnerMedia x Bad Robot Productions
An exclusivity deal was signed between the production company Bad Robot Productions and WarnerMedia. The deal would have Bad Robot produce original series and films for WarnerMedia and its various divisions. The success of the partnership would give WarnerMedia a boost as it prepares for the launch of its streaming service, HBO Max to remain competitive.

Deputy and Revel announced a new partnership to integrate their cloud technology. Data information from the Revel POS with Deputy’s scheduling software are synced to help businesses manage and schedule their employees based on sales volume and demand signals while saving time.
- AEG x Toshiba
Sports and entertainment company AEG has selected Toshiba to be the official copier and multifunction printer provider for its STAPLES Center in Los Angeles and select AEGmusic festivals.
- American Express x Parley for the Oceans
American Express entered into a partnership with Parley, an environmental organization to launch a new card made from reclaimed plastic collected from beaches, islands and coastal communities. This card is the latest effort by American Express since partnering with Parley in June 2018 to reduce the use of single-use plastics and support the support of environmental cleanup programs.

- Ethereum Classic Labs x Second State x dApp iZbreaker
Ethereum Classic Labs a developer and accelerator of the Ethereum Classic blockchain announced partnerships with blockchain infrastructure developer Second State and social media decentralized app iZbreaker. Second State will assist in the creation of an open-source toolchain and runtime software that powers the next generation of Ethereum-compatible blockchains. iZbreaker will utilize resources provided by Ethereum in the development of its app and allow Ethereum to use its technical and marketing expertise to create and launch a new decentralized application.
- National Football League (NFL) x DraftKings
Draftkings has been named by the NFL as its exclusive daily fantasy sports partner. Draftkings stand to obtain exclusive sponsorship opportunities with the NFL and can use NFL branding throughout their platforms. Both organizations will also jointly create content for the Draftkings’ app.
- Post Consumer Brands x WWE
Post Consumer Brands and WWE expanded their partnership which will see WWE Superstars Becky Lynch and Big Show will grace the fronts of more than 7 million boxes of Post Honeycomb cereal and Post Golden Crisp cereal.
- Twitch x Raiders
Live streaming platform Twitch announced a partnership with the Raiders football franchise to be a founding partner of Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, The stadium will be the new home of the Raiders who will be moving from Oakland to Las Vegas in 2020. The partnership will also include a Twitch-branded lounge featuring interactive elements that are native to the Twitch experience and future events sponsored by Twitch that will take place in the stadium.

- Walgreens x Wing
Walgreens partnered with drone company Wing to test “store to door” delivery of products via drone. The first deliveries are expected to begin in the month of October 2019 in Christiansburg, Virginia.
- Apex Global Brands x Stem Holdings
Global brand ownership and marketing company Apex Global Brands announced a partnership with cannabis company Stem Holdings to debut customized medically-directed CBD through licensing agreements with three of APEX’s leading brands.
